TheTest is passed when the score in the Mathmetics section is equal or higher than 8

It is nonetheless highly recommended to complete alla other sections of the test. The test is recognized at national level and allows entrance to other Institutions that might however adopt different evaluation criteria.

Note.: in the event of more that one attempt , evalutation is done on the one that has the better score

For students enrolled starting from 2018-2019 at the University of Pisa School of Engineering, the fullfillment of the English test within TOLC-I does not cover the  3 credits of the English Language  to be held during the bachelor studies.

Teaching entailments to the test  result

Passing the test allows to enroll without debits (Obblighi Formativi Aggiuntivi -OFA). It is still also possible to enroll to an Engineering I Level Course (Bachelor) with free access without having passed the TOLC-I test, and in this case it is possible to follow backup courses and consequently seat for a test called TIT (Test Interno Telematico), that will be held before the beginning of classes.
The Scool of Engineering offer the possibility to follow a course called "Precorso di Matematica" to those that have not passed aprova TOLC-I test.  The course is structured in 10 lessonsthat will be held before TIT.

Those that will not have passed a  TOLC-I or a TIT test will be allowed to enroll to free access courses, but they will be bearing OFA (Obblighi Formativi Aggiuntivi).

Students bearing OFA will not be allowed to seat for exams.

OFA can be cancelled only by passing the TOLC-I Test.

Responsible for TOLC-I at Engineering is  Prof. Giovanni Basso.
