Abstract:
This presentation provides on overview of the research activities on structural glass performed at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) within the Glass & Transparency research group. In the presentation a variety of topics will be addressed, such as Thin Glass Composite & Adaptive Building Components, Fire Testing of Structural Glass Beams, Glass Brick Structures and Glass Strut Structures.
Presenter:
Dr. ir. Christian Louter is Assistant Professor of Structural Glass Design at the Faculty of Architecture & the Built Environment at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in The Netherlands. At TU Delft he investigates novel structural glass solutions and teaches on structural design. Christian obtained his PhD Cum Laude from TU Delft in 2011 and has worked several years as a post-doctoral researcher at EPFL in Switzerland before returning to TU Delft in 2015. In addition, Christian is Research Coordinator at the department of Architectural Engineering & Technology, an Organiser of the Challenging Glass Conference series and an Editor-in-Chief of the Glass Structures & Engineering Journal.
