Argotec Srl è un'azienda ingegneristica aerospaziale italiana nata nel 2008 a Torino. Opera nel settore aerospaziale e ha incentrato la sua attività in diversi ambiti: ricerca e sviluppo di sistemi ed esperimenti per la Stazione Spaziale Internazionale (ISS), realizzazione di piccoli satelliti e addestramento non solo degli astronauti europei ma anche del personale di Terra che supporta le missioni nello Spazio. Tra le numerose attività ingegneristiche, l'azienda svolge anche ricerche e attività di sviluppo nell'ambito delle tecnologie volte al trasferimento del calore passivo.
Presso la sede di Torino è presente, inoltre, un Mission Control Centre interno direttamente collegato al centro di controllo di Nasa che consente di monitorare l'andamento degli esperimenti svolti sull'ISS. Le operazioni di training e simulazione sono, invece, effettuate da istruttori certificati da NASA ed ESA presso il Centro Europero Astronauti (EAC) di Colonia in Germania.

Duty
The candidate will work independently and also in a team, in order to define and develop firmware and real-time OS for embedded space systems. The task assigned to the candidate will include the definition of the architecture of the whole software that shall be mounted on the embedded system. These activities will include (at least):
- Design the architecture of the OS;
- Define the necessary APIs;
- Interface the embedded system with FPGA device;
- Define low-level code for interfacing with FPGA device;
- Implementation of low-level firmware.
General requirements
- Degree: Master's degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering;
- Working experience: 0-2 years (entry level);
- Age: 24-30
- High flexibility and team-working skills;
- Language knowledge: Italian, English
Required experience & skills
- Previous experience in embedded systems;
- Good knowledge and/or experience of real-time OS;
- Good knowledge and/or experience of real-time OS simulation software;
- Good knowledge and/or experience in code testing (debug);
- Experience in API developing;
- Experience in serial communication standards;
- Experience in TCP/IP protocol;
- Experience in C/C++ programming.
Additional Assets
- Previous experience in aerospace/space projects (industrial and/or academic) with similar duties;
- Knowledge of the aerospace/space coding standards;
- Knowledge of FPGA programming;
- Knowledge of automation protocols and networks;
- Management of local intranet architecture;
- Good knowledge Unix/Linux OS;
- Good knowledge of Matlab and Simulink programming.
